Session 3:  ”Photographer Dorothea Lange commented: ‘In a sense, your photographs are your autobiography.’ I believe Dorothea was referring to the fact that the photographs you make express who you are and what is important to you. If you had to choose a word or a phrase to reflect how you would like your life to look in the upcoming year, what would those words be? Perhaps one of the following words resonates with you? What would your life look like if you lived this photo prayer daily for the next year?  One of the disadvantages of the digital age is that we print out fewer photographs than we did in the past. They remain on our computers until we have time to go through them, time that often doesn’t come. I think of the boxes of photographs I inherited from my grandmother, and know that unless I make an effort to choose my favorite photographs each year and print them out or share them on a blog or on a card, my photographs will disappear with me.”Catherine Anderson.

Words I chose for 2014:

Peace, Joy, Spirit, Light, Prayer

Words that chose me:

“In order to be a successful photographer,

you must possess both Vision and Focus

neither of which have anything to do with your eyes.”

Kevin Russo
